KnowledgeVision Systems, which makes the world's most flexible online presentation system, is now supporting the vast majority of tablet devices with video online presentations. Users of the Apple iPad and iPad 2, as well as Android 3.0 devices such as the Motorola Xoom, may now view online presentations directly in their tablet-based browsers, without loading a separate "app", or application.
KnowledgeVision presentations synchronize video or audio, PowerPoint and other presentation slides, and just-in-time footnotes together into powerful interactive experiences for websites and email campaigns.
"KnowledgeVision and tablet computers are a natural combination," said KnowledgeVision CEO Michael Kolowich. "Now, the full fidelity and power of video online presentations are available to just about every tablet computer user."
"We felt that tablet users shouldn't need to install a whole separate app in order to view online presentations," added Kolowich. "When a viewer encounters an online presentation, he or she should be able to view it right away, in context, without launching a whole separate piece of software."
Until now, online presentations have proven elusive to tablet users, because most of them are rendered in Adobe Flash, which is not supported on Apple's tablet operating system, iOS, and until last week was not supported in Google's Android operating system. KnowledgeVision uses a "smart" player, explained Kolowich, which can switch to a compatible HTML5 player when it's being viewed on an iPad.

KnowledgeVision's player has now been tested with Android 3.0 with Flash 10.2 on the Motorola Xoom, noted Kolowich, and "performs like a champ." Flash 10.2 for Android tablet devices was released by Adobe Systems on March 18.
